HSQ Group prepared the storm water master plan for the City of Tamarac in 2015. The City consists of 12 square miles of land with multiple outfall and boundary conditions to take into account including property outside of the city limits contributing to the drainage system. The scope included review existing information and collection of data from as-builts, old models, GIS and field investigations, Coordination with city staff for future development needs and impacts, review existing city drainage codes and provide recommendation for code updates, review existing water quality conditions and NPDES criteria and provide recommendations to meet current regulations, review Broward County code requirements for drainage and FEMA criteria for design consideration, provide low impact development ideas (LID) improvements and specifications, convert existing information from NGVD to NAVD vertical datum, preparation of final master plan as a living document to update as needed in the future, update city GIS data base with master plan information.
